MARYLAND – Ward 5 Commissioner, Chad Malkus of Cambridge is celebrating his recent achievement.
He is on the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Critical Areas Commission. This comes after being appointed by Governor Hogan and Senator Johnny Mautz. As of Wednesday, he’s been on the commission for 6 months, focusing on environmental issues across Maryland. Making sure businesses and residents are all on one accord lessens the environmental impacts.
He says he is happy to be a part of the commission. “I grew up the son of a farming family and so agriculture needs particularly on the Eastern Shore, are paramount and farmers are typically very good stewards of the land and so it was important to me to be on the commission,” says Chad Malkus, a commission member.
For residents in Cambridge, Malkus says don’t worry he will still be on the City of Cambridge Town Council.
